Classes

Move & Learn: Class Offerings

As a pelvic floor physio with an additional certification in pre and postnatal corrective exercise, I offer online & in person classes for pregnant and postpartum people. Classes run in 6-week blocks. Each class combines education and movement for every stage. Classes are run through Zoom or in person through MOVE yoga studio.

Prenatal Foundations covers what you need to know to manage through pregnancy and prepare for delivery, all through a pelvic floor focused lens. This is followed by pregnancy appropriate workouts.

Mom & Babe Postpartum Rehab Series covers what you need to know about your postpartum body and how to return to exercise and movement, while optimizing your pelvic floor recovery after birth. This includes gentle movement sessions that are appropriate for individuals who are 6 weeks or more postpartum.

The first 6 weeks are 45-minute sessions. This is a very small group series run for individuals who are 1-6 weeks postpartum. These sessions are focused on support and education for managing your pelvic floor in the early postpartum period. Each session includes very gentle movement and are only run online.

Class sizes are limited. For online classes, recordings are available for one month following the end of each series.

Typically group physiotherapy is not covered by extended health benefits so physiotherapy receipts are not provided. You do not need to be a patient to participate in classes however you will need to complete a health questionnaire & screening to attend. If you believe your extended health coverage will cover group physiotherapy sessions please advise Kate.

Workshops

I offer periodic online workshops on birth prep and various pelvic floor topics including return to running. These are usually 90–120-minute online workshops on Zoom that run as condensed versions of what is covered in multiple 1:1 sessions. You do not need to be an existing patient of the clinic to attend. These workshops are open to everyone, anywhere. You will not be provided a physiotherapy services receipt, so these workshops are not covered by extended health benefits.

To attend a workshop, head over to the booking page and select which workshop you're interested in to view the schedule. Once you've paid for the workshop you will receive a Zoom link 24 hours before the workshop. If you don’t see workshops available on the booking page, you can subscribe below for updates on workshop offerings.

Recordings will be made available for up to one week following the session for those that cannot attend live. I designed this course to make my knowledge more accessible. Pelvic floor physio and 1:1 sessions can be cost prohibitive, especially for those that don't have extended health coverage, and not everyone lives somewhere that has access to pelvic health physiotherapy services.
